The 2002 Bual Colheita was bottled in 2014 and is limited to 8,000 bottles. It has quite a "punchy" bouquet with scents of dried honey, sandalwood, cigar humidor and dried fig all very well defined and quite mercurial in the glass. You have to keep popping your nose into the glass here to observe the changes. The palate is medium-bodied with a harmonious entry, quite citrus-like with hints of bitter lemon, orange peel, clove and hazelnut, gently unfolding in the glass and leading to quite a refined and sustained finish. I appreciate the harmony and purity of this Bual - appealing, elegant and poised. ROBERT PARKER. THE WINE ADVOCATE. 92/100
